It's a good day

Today is a good day because:
*I woke up to this
A heart attack on my bed full of "sweet" notes like "the sound of your voice is sweeter than the sweetest cucake with frosting and sprinkles and chocolate fudge and lots and lots of high fructose corn syrup!"
I love that man of mine
*because Kimball just wanted to snuggle this morning and told me he wanted to marry me when he grew up.

*because Addie and Kimball and I ate breakfast before school
*Because I went on walk OUTSIDE in the SUN
* Because today I am wearing a short sleeve t-shirt and I have my sliding door open
*Because the snow outside my door is almost all melted

*Because I get to spend the day with these two cuties (and because they are sleeping right now)
*Because a guy said "Howdy Mam" at the store today
*Because I have cake cooking in the oven
*Because I have great friends
* Because I LOVE my family
*Because I have a fun dinner planned
*Because I am happy!
*I may have forgotten that I left the griddle on...with pancakes still on it. But that's okay because we didn't want to eat them anyway and now it will just smell like I'm baking all day.
*It may be laundry day but thats okay because the smell from my dryer vent is coming in my house from my open door

"the desire to create"

"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before" -Dieter F. Uchtdorf

This talk that Elder Uchtdorf gave back in 2008 really has stuck with me. I have found that I am a much happier person if I am creating. It allows me to be me and I enjoy it so much. I thought I would share some of my projects that I have been working on "I made some pillows for our couch. I wish I would have done them a little differently but they will do for now until I get sick of them. :-)I made some skirts for Addie. This skirt is a perfect spinning skirt. Addie really likes wearing these but it's not so wonderful when the high is 4 degrees. brrrrrrr......Just keep spinning, spinning spinningThis skirt still needs some pockets but she wanted to wear it and pockets can wait. I made myself an apron out of the same dollar material. yes!!!SASSY!!I am making some cards for my Mother-in-law and really enjoying it. It's fun and doesn't take as long as scrapbooking

Here is a sneak peak of some of your cards Mother Teresa...they will be in the mail soon

more before and after

So I finally "finished" my sewing/craft area the other day so I thought I would post some more before and after pictures. Here it is when we first moved in....oh so clean and free of clutter. This spot is under the stairs Here is some of my craft stuff and before I painted

And here it is all cluttered up. I wish I could show a better picture of the color. It is a beautiful light blue and very calming. You can just call me Harry Potter because I think I will be spending a lot of time here under the stairs
This is also set up as a little music area with the keyboard and Ammons guitar

My own little fabric store. I love having my fabric stored like this. It is so nice to be able to see what I have

Happy times
