I love you because...

Happy Fathers Day Ammon!!! You are the best dad and husband anyone could ask for. There are so many reasons I love you but here are a few.

You have the best attitude and I can't recall you ever loosing your temper
You sincerely care about people, even if you don't know them
You are so humble and selfless
You are SUCH A HARD WORKER!! and a wonderful provider for our family

Here are a few reasons I know the Addie and Kimball love you
You are the best playmate EVER
You are the best dance partner for Addie...which is why she asks every time you come home "Daddy do you want to dance?"
You are a great rocket ship and horsey for Kimball
They can feel your love in everything you do and say

Happy Fathers Day Ammon
We are so lucky to have you.

Girls Camp

This last week I went to girls camp up the Mountain. I had such a good time!! I had been dreading leaving my babies for that long but everything went well and I loved it all...despite the wet and cold.

Here we are nice and CLEAN before we left. That is definitely not how we looked...or smelled when we came home. I realize that you cannot smell through the computer but just imagine standing in the smoke for 4 days, not showering except the rain creating damp, muddy clothes and smelling like old damp sneakers......now onto more pleasant things.
I bought a "cot" at a yard sale a couple weeks back. It was more of a lawn chair and fell over twice within the first day when I would go to sit on it. I was rather nervous to move around during the night because I was afraid of it falling over. At least it was entertaining.
Thumbs up, elbows back, feet apart, knees bent, butt out, chest out, head back, tongue out. A toot-a-tah, a toot-a-tah, a toot-ta-ta-tah
Whats girls camp with out some nylons over your face:-)
I had such a good time being up there with the girls and the other leaders. It was rainy and cold and they all had such good attitudes and I just love them so much. It's ironic that right when I get to know them all more and love them all more, I will be released (tomorrow), but I know they will love their new leaders and I will still see them every week. Greens Lake girls, YOU ROCK!!!

Ohhhh...

Tonight I was in the office and Ammon came in with tears in his eyes and asked "why do kids have to grow up?" He had been in the bedroom saying goodnight to the kids and it hit him how we will never have these kids at this age again. Addie is no longer a little toddler, learning to walk. Kimball will quickly grow into a little talking child and it is just very sad. It makes you realize you have to just enjoy every little moment and every stage they are in because soon, you will only see it in pictures and videos and you will long for it. We have loved every stage these kids have been in. It is fun having a witty, silly little girl, even if she never shuts up. We have enjoyed having a hansom, funny, quiet little boy, even though he can't get a word in edgewise. I just have to say how grateful I am to be a mom to my 2 beautiful sweet children and to have a husband who stops to appreciate life. Thank you honey for helping me to stop and appreciate it too.
Some flashback Friday pictures of the kids.

This is during Addies clepto days when she would stuff anything and everything she could down her shirt, be it all the pieces of her puzzle or all the contents of Ammons backpack.

I love having this little boy part of our family. He adds something I never knew was missing.

a few changes. What is this a midlife crisis?

So we've had a few changes recently. Kimball has suddenly been a very finicky eater and we can't get him to really eat much of anything but he loves smoothies so we have been making some "power smoothies." We just grind up whatever fruits and veggies we have. This one had carrots, kiwi, banana, apple, spinach and mango (+ ice and some apple juice concentrate for a sweetener). We all LOVE them. It's great tasting and I love knowing it is completely healthy.
My sister also told me about this healthy dessert....or desert...I can never remember which is which. Anyway, you get a can of black beans, drain them and then fill it back up with water and blend it into a paste. You then add that to a brownie mix. You DON'T add the water, egg and oil...just the beans and brownie mix and mix together and bake. WE LOVED THEM!!! Our kids loved them too.

Next change is I started a new business. I am going to start selling Mary Kay. I really never pictured myself the type but I have always loved their product but I didn't want to be a pushy sales lady. Well when I found out that I don't HAVE to sell any certain amount and all the other benefits, it seemed like the opportunity I have been looking for to earn some extra money without having to take my kids to a babysitter and be able to do it on my time. So if any of you are interested in a free facial or are looking for some products without being pushed into anything, let me know.
Last change happened today. I have been thinking about dyeing my hair but wasn't sure how Ammon would feel about it cause I knew he loved my red hair. Well when I mentioned it to him, he got so excited and so I decided to do a WASH. I didn't want anything permanent but wanted a change and I LOVE IT!!! What's funny is I think Ammon loves it even more. It is so fun to be able to wear colors that I have never been able to wear well like red and pink. It's just so fun to have a change. I don't think I could ever go permanent, just because my red hair is so me but this is fun. You would think I am going through a mid-life crisis with all these changes. hmmmm...I am going to be 30 this year. See the crow feet by my eyes...good thing that I am starting to use Mary Kay to slow those things down from growing into crow legs :-)
