It's Halloween time

Have you smelled a Pumpkin candle lately?  They REALLY don't smell like the inside of a pumpkin but the inside of a pumpkin sure does smell like Halloween to me (even though it stinks). 
Well, we had a very enjoyable night of carving pumpkins at the beginning of the week and even though I forgot to take a picture of the end result, we sure had fun scooping out the guts. 

 

Ammon's mom was able to come out for a week and visit.  The kids have been counting down the days for a long time and they have had so much fun with Nana.  As you can see below, they have not let her get any rest.

We had a ward Halloween party.  Addie was Fancy Nancy, Kimball and Avonlea were the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood.  Kimball was the big bad wolf, dressed as Granny...meaning he was in a nightgown and bonnet.  He was standing at the party and his friend Spiderman (with built in muscles) came up to him, growled and showed his muscles and asked "What are you dressed up as?"  Kimball looked at his friend, looked at down at his costume and then looked up at Ammon with a look of "why dad?".  Don't worry, for Halloween, he was Spiderman, with built in muscles included.  I only regret that I didn't take any pictures at the ward party...I'm sure Kimballs not sorry that we forgot.

Halloween night we switched things up and Addie was Cleopatra (fit the part perfectly)

Avonlea was a princess.  She couldn't decide if she wanted to be a monster or a princess.  We told her she was a monster princess and she was happy. 

 

Then of course it was time to sort the candy and believe me there was a LOT of candy

Last night, since Nana was here, we decided to do a fun little dinner.  We had a spaghetti dinner but kept things interesting by giving everyone a unique utensil.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After dinner, we went and got hot chocolate and walked the Pedestrian bridge.  It was so great to enjoy some time with Nana and enjoy the joys of the Fall.
