celebrations part 3

Here is Kimball chowin down on his cake. I LOVE 1st birthdays. There is nothing like watching kids feed themself sweets for the first time. We were laughing so hard and how much he ate and how much he loved it.

One of the other reasons we love Parowan is that it is just so relaxing and perfect. It is so nice to get away (even if it is only 20 minutes away) and sit in good company, watch the kids play and enjoy every minute of it. Thank you mom and dad for having us over. We all loved it.

My parents have a chiminea out on their deck and after it got a little dark, we built a fire and rosted marshmallows and snipped fresh beans to can...thanks again mom.

Here is my mom snapping beans. Look at that sunset in the background....is it any wonder why we love Parowan so much. Here is my fire buddy Addie. We had fun roasting marshmallows and starburts in the fire. This is my parents new dog Missy. Addie LOVES Missy and Missy is such a great dog for kids...she is still in the puppy phase so she can be a little hyper but she is very loving and playful. She is one of the many reasons my kids love going to Grandpa and Grandmas house.
All in all, it was a great day. I'm sure Kimball won't remember a thing from it but the rest of us sure had a wonderful time.
