Avonleas blessing day

What a wonderful day to celebrate motherhood. Avonlea was blessed yesterday and I truly felt the wonder of mothers. I'm so grateful to be a mother to my children. They are so wonderful and each have such a place in my heart.
I just realized that this is the first family picture we have of all of us.

It was also wonderful to be able to spend mothers day with the grandmothers of my children

Thank you mom for teaching me all those important lessons in life who have made me who I am today. I love you so much and I appreciate you so much more after having children of my own. You are truly wonderful

Thank you Teresa for raising Ammon to be the man that he is. He has so much compassion for those around him and I know he got that from you. You are such a giving light and we love you

Avonlea Elise Mitchell was given a beautiful blessing by her daddy. She is one special little girl.
Thank you all of you who traveled to be here with us on our special day. We have the best family and friends in the world.

Mitchell happenings

Well life goes on after all. I have not been blogging as much as of late....I find sleep much more appealing then it used to be. That may be because of a sweet little baby I hold in my arms during the night. We are all smitten with this angel and she is such a good baby. However, I need to post some pictures specifically for my sister who lives far away in Chicago-land and has not been able to see her.
This is one of my favorite things

She continues to gain weight like a pro. She is in the 90th % for weight. at 7 weeks she weight 12.4 lbs. She is smiling and such a little doll.
She is really loving her baths as well

As for other news in our lives, for those of you who may not know, Ammon applied to 3 pharmacy schools this year and interviewed at a school in South Jordan in January and we finally heard from them and he was not accepted. He also interviewed at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska last week and we will be hearing from them in the next 2 weeks. If we are accepted, we will be moving this summer to Omaha and if not, we will be staying here in Cedar and Ammon will continue to take more classes and we will apply to more pharmacy schools next year. We are pretty excited to just find out where we will be so we can plan accordingly.

Addie is trying to earn money to buy a Bell dress and she asked if I would give her some if she made my bed (she gets money by doing extra work). I said I would and her response was. "I want $10". Gosh, if I got that much money every time I made my bed....well I would probably still be broke. Addie got a quarter
